A correct installation can prolong the life cycle of the seal ring. We have following suggestions when install the spring energized seal.

Preparation before installation:

1. Check whether the surface finish of the groove meets the requirements;

2. Clean the sealing ring and groove surface with dust-free cotton cloth;

3. Check whether the installation chamfer is smooth and free of burrs.

Installation recommendations:

1. Under low temperature conditions, do not apply grease during installation;

2. The installation chamfer shall have arc transition, with a minimum chamfer of 3x15 ° and R1 0 fillet transition;

3. The force shall be applied evenly during installation, and it is recommended to press in with a flat press;

4. If parallel entry cannot be guaranteed when pushing, please design guiding fixture.
