Liner wiper plug is a tool for oil casing cementing operation. During cementing, cement slurry and mud are separated to prevent the cement slurry from infiltrating into mud and affecting the cementing quality.

The liner wiper plug is designed to receive the drilling wiper plug and clean the liner casing after cementing. When locked in the landing ring, its front sealing ring provides an additional back pressure safety check, and the anti rotation locking ring allows rapid drilling out. LWP is made of materials that are easy to drill out after cementing. The integral molded design of the wiper blade provides a reliable seal for starting any hydraulic component. Heat sinks of different diameters are designed for specific purposes, such as one heat sink will wipe the interior of the liner while the other heat sink will maintain upward or back pressure. These plugs are made of elastic material.

LWP is compatible with suspended liners. The plug has an anti rotation latch profile that prevents the plug from backing up and locks it in place for easy drilling.

The LWP is sheared to the shear adapter of the slip joint and has an ID that allows cement to pass through. The increase in pressure shears the ball seat and holds it with the valve plug.

The liner wiper plug is arranged and connected at the bottom of the setting tool through a shear pin. The function of the plug is to separate the cement from the displacement fluid. Once the plug is stuck in the snap ring, it provides a pressure seal and allows the liner above the snap ring to be pressure tested or the external casing packer to be inflated.
