There are two sets of sealing rings (secondary sealing of oil casting head) at the bottom of conventional oil pipe head and casting head, which are used to seal the castings suspended at the top. At present, the commonly used seals are FS seal, S seal and P seal.

The design of S and FS wellhead seals requires that they can withstand higher and higher pressure and temperature, and meet more stringent regulatory requirements. The pressure between casing layers may exceed 10000 psi, which means that the seal must be manufactured and tested to very high standards. Tubing and casing diameters can also vary widely, and the wellhead seal must be able to compensate for these changes.

S seals and FS seals can withstand high pressure. Although S seals are widely used in wellhead components, FS seals have thicker cross-section, larger extrusion clearance and rougher casing and tubing surfaces.

The FS seal of JST is developed to seal the casing and hanger of the wellhead, which can play its role when there is a large gap between the wellhead and the mating parts of relevant components. FS seals can be made of materials certified by API, ISO, NORSOK, total and NACE standards. The combination of design, material and assembly ensures that the high-performance FS seal maintains a perfect seal under the following adverse conditions:

• Plug in operation;

• Wide temperature and pressure range

• Oilfield media with chemical corrosivity and high abrasiveness

Material selection

We have a series of materials that can be used to produce FS casing and tubing seals, including NBR, HNBR and FKM. All these materials have been fully proved to have a series of performance characteristics, including wear resistance, rapid gas decompression ability and a wide range of temperature energy. Non standard or special options are available and can be customized according to the specific application requirements of customers.

Our FS casing sealing material has been certified by NORSOK M710 H2S immersion test.

The normal operating temperature range is - 46 ° C to + 177 ° C (– 20 ° F to + 350 ° F), depending on size, pressure and material.

The FS seal can fit standard API casing sizes from 4-1 / 2 "to 30".
