JST S seal is elastic sealing element composed of a high modulus elastomer and two integrated anti-extrusion springs which allows the seal to withstand large compression gaps.

The S seal can be customized designed based on temperature, medium, and environment. Sealing materials utilized for wellheads which need to withstand pressures as high as 15 000 psi, and temperature from –29°C to +177°C (–20°F to +350°F). Besides, the JST developed the rubber material passed the H2S immersion test and RGD test, which can be used in harsh application.

The integrated S seal eliminates installation issues that may occur when using multi-component seals. It can be stretched into place without splitting or damaging the non extruded components of the seal. In addition, they can be manufactured to fit almost any gland size, including large diameters or cross-sections.

S seals can be manufactured in various standard or non-standard sizes, allowing them to be modified into existing O-ring grooves.
