50Rod T-Seal Compact Seal
T-Seal is a compact three-piece double acting seal composed of a T shaped elastomeric element and two rigid anti-extrusion rings. These compact sealing elements are designed for installation in simple O-ring grooves and are often used to modify faulty O-rings. The T-Seal's geometry prevents spiraling and because it utilizes rigid back-up materials, it can withstand very high pressures and large extrusion gaps.
T-seals are manufactured by machining or moulding made of different HNBR or FKM-types as sealing material and a backup ring made of PEEK.
For maximum seal longevity, the seal must be constructed from the correct elastomer for the particular application. JST produces customized T-seals from a variety of materials to meet almost any gland sizes.
Seals can be used for dynamic or static applications in oilfields or hydraulic applications, including intensifiers, jacks, cylinders, tensioners, shock subs, bumper subs, valves and pumps.
Due to the symmetrical geometry of T-seals, the installation procedure is usually simple.
JST STB series T-seal is for rod.
