Spring energized PTFE lip seal

The seal jacket of adhesive dispenser/dispensing seal is made of ultra-high molecular UHMWPE or PEEK, with installed stainless steel anti-corrosion spring with low temperature resistance treatment.

The spring energized seal is widely used in medical equipment, which is generally composed of a corrosion resistant spring and a seal ring made of U-shaped filled PTFE/UPE material.  

This is sealing product developed by JST to meet the increasingly demanding sealing needs of equipment manufacturers and users in semiconductor, petrochemical, mechanical seal, instrumentation, energy, biopharmaceutical, food and medical industries.

SPGO is a low friction piston seal consisting of PTFE+Bronze seal ring and rubber o-ring used for two-way piston seal of Hydraulic cylinder, to seal in fluid, thus preventing the flow of fluid across the piston, allowing pressure to build up on one side of the piston.  

In LNG operations, valves can regularly encounter temperatures below -320 F (-196 C) and pressures above 750 pounds per square inch (psi). They are also subjected to periodic variations in temperatures known as “thermal cycling,” which can result in hardware expansion as well as shrinkage and material stresses. These factors make reliable, long-term valve operation an engineering challenge.

It is an end face spring energized seal with both rigid and flexible elements, which gives consistent contact at the sealing interface.

Wear rings are used to help keep the piston centered, allowing for even wear and pressure distribution on the seals. Wear rings are used in both piston and rod applications.

Phenolic wear rings are designed with tubing made from fine weave cotton fabric wound on molds and imbued with phenolic resin. It has high mechanical properties, good oil resistance, low water absorption and high wear resistance.
