Packer elements are rubber seals that operate under specific down-hole conditions and provide an elastomeric seal for either short-term or long-term completion.

Packer elements are used between sections of oil and gas production tubing to prevent fluids and pressure from leaking through the joints. This protects the casing, production tubing, liner and wellbore wall above and below the producing zone. Packer elements are designed for operating in corrosive or harsh conditions and manufactured from elastomers compatible with the media that needs to be sealed.

JST has done packer element tests.

This test will qualify the 5.0 x 7.0 Liner Top Packer element meets the API 11D1/ISO 14310 V3 standard. The test will be conducted in a liquid test medium of oil (V3) at 250℉ with a 5,000 psi differential pressure. The test will be included two pressure reversals as well as one full temperature cycle. The minimum setting force on the element will be 50,000 lbs. and will be applied through use of a hydraulic piston located internally on the test fixture.

Test condition：

1) Temperature： 250℉ (121.1℃) / 100℉(37.8℃)

2) Pressure：  5000psi

3) Medium：  Oil

4) Form of movement: Static

Leak standard at 5, 000psi and 250℉.
