Hammer union seals are used for hammer joint type pipe connections to establish flow lines and prevent leakage. Hammer joints are manufactured by companies such as Weco, FMC and Kemper valve and are used in the oil and gas industry, steel mills, chemical plants, open-pit mining and marine dredging.
Rubber hammer union seal is pressed with imported rubber, which greatly improves the pressure bearing and sealing performance, and prevents the joint from corrosion. The sealing form varies according to the pressures and application ranges. It has good sealing ability in gas and fluid applications, large initial sealing force and good leakage resistance. It can be used in large sizes without installation tools, can adapt to rapid temperature changes, has good sealing ability and unlimited storage life. In addition, the sealing ring can also be used for one-way action, high pressure and static sealing. It is used in the working condition with external pressure. It is widely used in various static sealing and slow dynamic sealing occasions. It has a good sealing effect for lighter gas, refrigerant and vacuum. JST provides NBR hammer union seals for standard applications, as well as Viton ® (also known as fluororubber or FKM) is used to improve temperature and chemical resistance, or HNBR is used for acid gas purposes. In addition to the standard molded rubber seal, the anti extrusion ring can also be reinforced with brass hammer pipe joint seal or stainless steel hammer pipe joint seal.
