The water pump seal D1 is composed of one or couple of fabric reinforced Chevron V rings (DM), back up ring (DD) and header ring (DS) for plunger sealing. The back up ring and the header ring may be fabricated from metal.
Due to the advantages of the shape, the V rings can produce uniform pre tightening force, so it has good sealing performance under low friction and low pressure; Under the action of the system pressure, the V rings will form a pressing force on the sealing surface to ensure that the water seal does not slide in the groove. At the same time, the height of the seal and the depth of the groove design will ensure to avoid axial movement.
D1 has successful experience in applying to high-pressure pumps. It is mainly applied to single acting pistons with self weight return, and can also be used on double acting pressure cylinders.

Installation: Due to the low elastic force of the cloth clamp, it is recommended to design the groove as an open type for easy installation. When installing the seal, sharp edges should be avoided from scratching the lip of the seal.
